Tulsa, Okla. – Saltus Technologies, a leading provider of innovative electronic ticketing systems for public safety, announced today that the police departments of Dodge City, Edwardsville, Merriam and Salina and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office have all purchased digiTICKET in the past six months. Since the Kansas Highway Patrol selected digiTICKET in September 2012, five other law enforcement agencies in the state have recognized the significant safety and financial benefits derived from officers spending minimal time issuing tickets on the dangerous roadside, maximizing patrol time and reducing both clerical costs and lost revenue from data input or handwriting errors.

Last year, the Kansas Highway Patrol added digiTICKET to their KLER Justice Solution and made digiTICKET available under a state contract that provides all Kansas Law Enforcement agencies the same volume price discounts. Many agencies continue to face reduced budgets due to lower tax revenues, so digiTICKET's proven ability to maximize officer efficiency is a critical force multiplier, especially for smaller agencies and police departments. "digiTICKET is a great product in that it does what it is supposed to do and was easily taught to my officers," said Lieutenant Darren Mclaughlin, Merriam, Kansas Police Department. "I have had plenty of experience with bringing on-line new IT related products for our department. I have to say this was the easiest and least stressful of them all. The product worked as promised and the customer service before, during, and after implementation was above and beyond any that I had experienced with any other company," stated Mclaughlin.

digiTICKET allows police officers to use a handheld, tablet, or laptop-based ticket writer to scan a driver license barcode and quickly generate municipal or district tickets. The system is designed to reduce the amount of time needed for the officer to issue a ticket, eliminate data errors and reduce administrative costs. digiTICKET’s ease-of-use and simplicity of integration to existing workflow and backend systems makes itvery easy to implement. Over 25 different RMS and court systems already seamlessly operate with digiTICKET, including the Global RMS and Full Court system – both a part of the KHP’s KLER Justice Solution.

"We have really enjoyed working with all the Kansas agencies and are pleased with the adoption rate of digiTICKET throughout the state," said Eric Fultz, president and CEO of Saltus Technologies. digiTICKET has more than 2,400 end users in 11 U.S. states generating over 40,000 eCitations monthly. It has proven to be a key contributing factor in decreasing traffic accidents by more than 10 percent while increasing revenue by reducing errors, improving productivity, and eliminating manual processes.
