The law enforcement memorial monument outside the Wisconsin Capitol was vandalized during the night with writing spelling out “#Justice4AnthonySmith.”
The writing references the St. Louis riots that followed the acquittal of former police officer Jason Stockley in the 2011 shooting of Anthony Lamar Smith.
Capitol Police are investigating the incident.
