230 people have been charged with felony rioting during the Inauguration of President Donald Trump.
Bill Miller, the public information officer for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, said most of those arrested will face a possible sentence of up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $25,000.

Rioters participated in what police called “coordinated” attacks against law enforcement and citizens. Businesses, cars and various symbols in Washington D.C. were damaged including windows being smashed out and set on fire.
Several law enforcement officers were hurt.
The charges are a significant shift from years past when those arrested were either released without being charged or charged with minor crimes.
