Fort Lauderdale, FL – SmartWater CSI, a proven forensic coding theft deterrent technology company, has signed an agreement with AFIMAC Global, an elite security and crisis management company.  Through this exclusive partnership, SmartWater CSI theft deterrent products will be offered to AFIMAC Global’s U.S. clients that require cargo container security.

“The strategic partnership with AFIMAC will provide SmartWater CSI with an expanded audience of businesses that have an identified need for cargo container security and an existing relationship with AFIMAC,” stated Logan Pierson, President, SmartWater CSI.
“At that same time, AFIMAC will enhance the security services they currently provide to
their clients by introducing this revolutionary crime-fighting tool as an added layer of
theft protection.”

“SmartWater is a game changer for our cargo container clients who are currently or potentially faced with the directive to alleviate risks to property, personnel and assets,” said Peter Martin, CEO of AFIMAC.

About SmartWater CSI
SmartWater, founded in the United Kingdom, has been credited with over 1200 convictions over the past 17 years. SmartWater CSI, the company’s North American operations, opened in the United States in 2012.

SmartWater products are forensically encoded liquids that are used to mark property and assets that may be stolen. The non-hazardous liquid is virtually impossible to remove, unlike past World War II technology such as microdots. It leaves a long-lasting identifying mark that is invisible except under ultraviolet black light. Law enforcement officials can take the smallest micro-fragment of SmartWater from stolen property and send it to SmartWater’s forensic laboratories where it is scientifically analyzed to identify the owner. As a result, thieves who make the calculated mistake of targeting SmartWater marked-assets face a far greater risk of successful prosecution. Ultimately, crime is reduced and the public enjoys a safer environment.

SmartWater contains a unique forensic code that is extremely robust and lasts a minimum of 5 years under all weather conditions. The technology is the only forensic coding to be PAS 820:2012 certified and does not contain organic DNA-based materials, which are degradable under sunlight and can be affected by temperature, oxygenation and other environmental factors.
