Punta Gorda, Fla. – Earlier this year cutting edge Man Down Technology (MDT) was successfully tested using the Meade County, Kentucky 9-1-1 dispatchers emergency system.
SES was co-founded by Robert Ufer and Ken Brinkley both ex-military, Ken being ex law enforcement with a son currently in law enforcement. SES has developed a unique technology called “integrity film” which can be used in numerous lifesaving applications. One of the most exciting is the integration of the technology into Body Armor applications. .
PROBLEM: Police/Military personnel working without backup are vulnerable to attack. There have been incidences where officers have been shot during an ambush, traffic, stop domestic disturbance etc. Even when protected by their bullet proof vest they can become incapacitated. Radio communications is secondary to seeking cover and returning fire.
SOLUTION: Seconds make a difference between life and death. Within 10 seconds of impact MDT autodials 9-1-1and provides your exact GPS location on the 911 dispatcher’s screen and backup is dispatched. No user input is required. If the officer is down and incapacitated it does not matter, MDT will summon help.
