The 2016 Boston Marathon doubled as a movie set as Mark Wahlberg was dressed as a cop filming a scene for an upcoming movie about the Boston Marathon bombings three years ago.
Patriot’s Day is an account of Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis’s actions in the events leading up to the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and the aftermath, which includes the city-wide manhunt to find the terrorists behind it.
It is set to open in theaters in January 2017.
