If you have, need or want technology to get your job done, you’ll definitely benefit from the upcoming International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Law Enforcement Information Management (LEIM) Conference. LEIM is tech-centric and caters to managers, supervisors and information technology people who want the latest tech info and a chance to interact with their public safety peers. There are also awards presented to agencies who have used technology in new and innovative ways, providing case studies for agencies wanting to address similar challenges.

This year, the conference will be held in San Diego—my hometown—and the conference organizers have negotiated a fantastic rate at the host hotel, the beautiful Hilton Bayfront. Consider bringing family. After all, San Diego in June is about as good as it gets.

What: IACP Law Enforcement Information Management Conference

When: June 13–15, 2011

Where: San Diego, Hilton Bayfront Hotel

Why: The latest & greatest tech equipment & practitioners who know how to use it.

Who should attend: Any public safety person who engages in tech efforts & wants to find solutions for some of the most challenging problems.

How much: $350/$400 on-site for IACP members, $475/$525 on-site for nonmembers. Exhibit Hall only registration is free for public safety sworn and civilian personnel. Hotel price matches government per diem for San Diego.
