April 20th, or 4/20, is the unofficial holiday for pot smokers. So, a Minnesota police department used Twitter in the best way imaginable.
“Undercover #420 stings are underway,” the Wyoming, Minnesota Police Department tweeted Wednesday morning. The photo, accompanying the caption, shows a cardboard box trap with bags of Cheetos and Doritos as bait.
By Wednesday night, the tweet received nearly 2,000 re-tweets and more than 2,000 likes. Many who responded to the tweet enjoyed the levity and appreciated a law enforcement agency engaging with the community in such a way. Others, however, took offense to the tweet, accusing the department of making light of drug abuse.
