After a victory Tuesday night, Donald Trump will now begin the work of selecting the people who will fill his cabinet.
Politico took a first look at who may comprise that cabinet , and one name is familiar to law enforcement, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke.

According to Politico, Clarke is being considered for the position of Department of Homeland Security Secretary. Someone “close to Trump’s campaign” told the publication Clarke may be a good fit as he “has cultivated a devoted following on the right.”
Clarke also spoke at the Republican National Convention in Ohio earlier this summer. He has been a frequent critic of the mainstream media, the Black Lives Matter movement, and the Washington establishment in general.
In response to the news, Sheriff Clarke released the following statement:
“There has been a lot of speculation as to what a Donald Trump win might have on my future. Let me make this clear – I am the Sheriff of Milwaukee County. I will continue to be the Sheriff of Milwaukee County until I am no longer the Sheriff of Milwaukee County, at which time I won’t be the Sheriff of Milwaukee County. Anything other than that is pure speculation. I supported Donald Trump because I believed in his leadership at a time when this country needs it most.”
