The San Francisco Police Department is in Hawaii this week recruiting police officers.
Recruiters will be at Chaminade University and Brigham Young University over the weekend testing for their police department.
They are boasting a starting salary of $90,000 in one of the most expensive cities to live in America.
The effort comes on the heels of the police union calling the SFPD in the middle of a “staffing crisis” citing the booming economy in the area along with the “anti-cop” sentiment often seen by the local politicians.
San Francisco isn’t the only agency struggling for cops in the area. Last year, Fremont Police began offering a $5,000 bonus for getting hired and another $5,000 after the officer cleared probation.
