A Webster Groves (MO) police officer was shot multiple times Tuesday night after responding to a welfare check of an individual.
The incident occurred in the St. Louis area near Interstate 44 and Elm.
According to News 5, the suspect was killed in the gunfight.
The officer was transported to the hospital where they are listed in stable condition.
Webster Groves police have not yet commented on this incident.
