Introducing Convenient, Cost-Effective Latent Print Powder Refills by Forensics Source™

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – Forensics Source™ announced that it has released innovative Latent Print Powder Paks from Lightning Powder® that are the most cost-effective refills available on the market. These 2 oz. pre-measured refills simplify decanting into standard powder jars. The durable pouch is easy to store and transport while its moisture-proof seal ensures the powder stays dry and clean, ready for immediate use in the field or in the lab.

“This is the first innovation to hit the forensic latent print market since Lightning Powder® launched its line of Lightning Spray® Aerosol Powders in 2010,” shared Eric Schellhorn, General Manager for Forensics Source. “These hermetically-sealed packets have decanting latent print powders that are cleaner, faster and more cost-effective than ever before. The content of each Powder Pak fills a standard powder jar perfectly.  Plus, inventorying and transporting multiple types of powder in the field has never been easier.”

Using these unique, environmentally-friendly plastic pouches costs much less than buying a new jar with the same volume of powder. Each Powder Pak includes just the right amount of powder to fill the 2 oz. industry-standard powder jar carried by crime scene technicians worldwide.  The thick, durable pouch prevents breakage while its gusseted bottom allows the pouch to stand upright for ease of use. Every Powder Pak is sealed against weather and leakage by both a zip-top seal and a heat seal, guaranteeing freshness and usability. The press-to-close zip seal also allows for easy use/re-use in the field. The viewing window on the front of each Latent Print Powder Pak clearly shows the powder color for quick reference.

Latent Print Powder Paks are available in all popular Lightning Powder conventional and magnetic powders including black, white, silver/grey, bi-chromatic, RedWop™ and GreenWop™. Each Pak sells for $3.99 for conventional powders and $4.99 for magnetic. Bulk pricing is available as well. They are currently available for sales through Forensics Source distributors and through the website at www.forensicssource.com.
