Tariq Nasheed, a self described “anti-racism strategist,” questions why Ohio State University Police Officer Alan Horujko was being praised.
“So white officer Alan Horujko who shot and killed the Black Somali stabbing suspect in Ohio is being paraded as a hero,” Nasheed wrote. “Thats interesting.”
While it is hard to know what Mr. Nasheed meant by his statement, the backlash came quick and often.

After reviewing Mr. Nasheed’s Twitter Account, there is a non-stop bantering about race including using derogatory terms from those that follow him that we do not approve. We welcome Nasheed’s comments and we ask that he explain what he meant.
We are following up on this story because there is a double standard when law enforcement shoots someone with a knife when they are protecting their own life. PERF has been one of the most vocal critiques.
We want to be clear here at Law Officer. Any police officer that stops a violent suspect from committing violence against law enforcement or a civilian is a hero and if Mr. Nasheed was walking on a sidewalk at The Ohio State University today, his comments would likely be different.
On Tuesday Night, Nasheed went on the Tucker Carlson show to explain the tweet but ended up calling Carlson a “white supremacist.” You can see the exchange below.
