CSI: The Experience, a museum exhibit that highlights forensics innovations, opens May 25 at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago before beginning a national tour of museums in September. Funded in part by a grant from the National Science Foundation and developed by the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History with support from the TV show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CBS Consumer Products, the exhibit offers an interactive experience that allows visitors to play the role of crime scene investigator. As they journey through a choice of three crime scenes, visitors can match shell casings in a firearms lab, hear from a forensic pathologist in a realistic autopsy room, see a victim s blood tested in a toxicology lab, learn about the advances in DNA profiling and examine the role human judgment plays with the advancement in technology.
