Here at Law Officer, we’re gearing up for an exciting March. Next month, Elsevier Public Safety, publisher of Law Officer, is set to launch LawOfficer.com, a new online portal for law enforcement. LawOfficer.com will feature daily news, product information and exclusive editorial content in the format and style you’ve come to know and expect from the magazine. We’re pleased to announce Tim Dees has joined the company as the new Editor-in-Chief of LawOfficer.com and technology editor of Law Officer.
Dees, who was most recently Editor in Chief of Officer.com, brings extensive experience in law enforcement, technology and training  to our team. Dees’ experience includes regional training coordinator for the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, criminal justice program coordinator and instructor at Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, Ore., and assistant professor of criminal justice and coordinator in the criminal justice and law enforcement program at Floyd College in Rome, Ga. Dees began his law enforcement career as a police officer
and sergeant with the Reno (Nev.) Police Department.
Law Officer editor Dale Stockton says, “Adding Tim Dees to our staff is a definite benefit to our readers. Not only will Tim direct LawOfficer.com, he’ll provide technology features for the magazine that will help cops understand their options. I’ve known Tim for a long time, and he understands the needs of our profession.”
Watch for the launch of LawOfficer.com in March, and be the first to log in and benefit from all the resources that will help you do your job more safely and effectively.
