Chicago’s “Deadliest Weekend of the Year”

In less than a day, 32 were people shot, including 8 killed in Chicago—in what DNAinfo Chicago reports has been the “most deadly weekend of the year.”

According to the article, Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson stated, “it was a tough weekend” for the police department and for the city as 17 people were shot and killed, and 57 others were wounded.

DNAinfo determined this weekend to be the deadliest based on shootings data they have compiled since August 20002.
