Cleveland.com reports that Cleveland Browns players ran out of the tunnel on Sunday prior to their game against the Steelers accompanied by police, firefighters and EMTs. They also stood together during the playing of the national anthem, joined by ownership and team executives, and the Browns ran a video with the theme of unity prior to the anthem.

“The City of Cleveland Divisions of Police, Fire and EMS have been and continue to be highly supportive of our athletes and those within the Browns Organization, participating in community events together throughout the year,” Cleveland Public Safety Director Michael McGrath said in a statement. “Our safety forces will participate in on-field pregame ceremonies for opening day this Sunday, September 10, 2017 with the Browns athletes.”

“Until we start talking about race and equality and building up neighborhoods and working together, we’re not going to be able to solve the problem,” Browns owner Dee Haslam told ESPN.com. “They want to go out and talk about it, and they want to do it with the police force.”
