The Austin (TX) Police Department announced Friday that K9 Blitz has died from an aggressive form of cancer.
He joined the department in 2008.
Blitz’s partner, Officer Darrin Lahr and his family, have laid Blitz to rest. The patrol K9 was previously diagnosed with Multifocal Large Cell Lymph sarcoma.
KAXN reports during his career, K9 Blitz assisted in more than 100 arrests.
