There are myriad apps available for mobile devices and, more specifically, the iPhone. Following are a few that law enforcement officers have found particularly helpful.

HanDBase for iPhone and iPad

This is a great app to upload database information like a statue book, leads, criminal profiles, etc.

iMovie

A great app to make video from an iPhone 4, whether it’s for leads, suspects or recording a crime scene or traffic accident scene for alter recall.

90-in-1 Appzilla
It features 90 different tools: converters, rulers, currency exchange information, dictionary, thesaurus, flashlight and many more.

Pocket First Aid and CPR from The American Heart Association

An excellent app to help with first aid and CPR.

iPharmacy The Drug and Medication Guide

A fantastic app to help identify drugs, pills, etc.

Evernote

This app records text, photo and audio notes that can be synced with your computer and iPad.

Motion GPX Drive

A reasonable GPS app solution.

Navigon Mobile Navigator North America

The best GPS app for the iPhone.

The Weather Channel

An excellent weather app.

JotNot Scanner Pro

Allows you to quickly scan documents with the iPhone to email or MMS to anyone.

These and other apps can be purchased at www.itunes.com.
