Suspect Tases Phoenix Police Officer

A suspect is in custody after he tased an officer with another officer’s Taser Friday night.

Police said they responded to a domestic violence call. A man there was acting erratically, punching holes in a door and destroying items in the home.

When officers arrived, the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Thomas Berry, charged them and tried to take one of their firearms, according to police.

Police said Berry managed to remove an officer’s Taser and discharged a cartridge into another officer’s leg.

Police were eventually able to place the suspect into custody.
