A Reno (NV) Gang Officer was shot Thursday night after conducting a traffic stop. In the exchange of gunfire, one suspect who was in the car, was shot and died at a local hospital.
Police are searching for another suspect, Eric Bernal. He goes by Smokey and is part of a gang that has been in the Reno area for 40 years. Officers were watching him and his fellow gang members for at least a week.
It’s believe he is injured and armed. Officers would say if the injuries were from the confrontation, or from a previous incident.
