NEW YORK — A New York gunman was captured on video opening fire and murdering a 21-year-old male victim inside a Bronx deli.
In the shocking surveillance video obtained by the New York Post, the killer emerges from the back of the BH gourmet Deli in Fordham just after 4 p.m. Friday and opens fire on his target standing at the counter.
The armed suspect steps forward and repeatedly shoots the victim who drops to the floor on his back, legs shaking, the footage shows.
Another individual in the deli who is talking on a cell phone is seen running for cover as the brazen execution unfolds.
The victim was identified by police as Jayquan Lewis. He was shot three times in the chest, three times in the arm and one time in the stomach, sources told the Post. He was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital.

According to the Post, Lewis was an extra cast member on “Law & Order.” He was among at least five people in the bodega as he waited to buy a bottle of Poland Spring water.
Joseph Giacalone, an adjunct professor at John Jay College and a former NYPD sergeant said the killing appeared “personal.”
“I have no doubt that (the victim) was targeted. The guy standing next to him could’ve easily been killed too, but wasn’t,” he said.
A high ranking NYPD source said Lewis was killed over a beef on social media. Police continue searching for the gunman in the ongoing investigation.
