A Dallas Fire-Rescue paramedic and a bystander were shot on a residential street late Monday morning as first responders answered a call for help.
NBC5 reports that Dallas police and firefighters independently confirmed the shooting took place at about 11:30 a.m. along the 3200 block of Reynolds Avenue in East Dallas.
It was reported that officers were initially “pinned down” as the situation unfolded.
Police were called to a home when someone came out of a home and opened fire. An EMT unit’s vehicle was hit and a paramedic was injured.
A neighbor who was outside the home at the time of the shooting was also shot.
The situation is still fluid and polcie are searching for the suspect.
