It wasn’t a preview for the next “Back to the Future” movie, and Doc Brown wasn’t the driver behind the wheel but the Santa Monica Police Department pursued a gray DeLorean DMC-12 today after it was stolen near Santa Monica beach.
The vehicle made famous by the 1985 film, Back To The Future, was easy to find and once police located it, the chase was on.

Officers chased the DeLorean for about half a mile at low speeds — nowhere near the vehicle’s top speed before it crashed and police took the suspect into custody.
Fortunately, the DeLorean didn’t hit 88 MPH where it would have immediately disappeared from 2016…..
