Riverside County, CA Sheriff’s Dept. Improves Workforce Efficiencies using AgencyWeb® Solution

Dallas, TX (November 11, 2011) – With a staff of over 3,800, Riverside County, CA Sheriff's Office (RCSO) was challenged in the past with many different systems that caused a duplication of data entry efforts at station, division and department levels.   However after going live earlier this year with the AgencyWeb® system, RCSO is now experiencing how a true Public Safety Workforce Management Solution can resolve administrative issues throughout the agency.

The new solution is helping RCSO eliminate data entry redundancies by allowing workforce data to flow securely through one centralized system. Agency users have access to information based on their own roles and business unit requirements. This includes on-site, as well as off-site accessibility from patrol cars. And for the first time, the RCSO executive staff and mid-level managers have comprehensive administrative information for coordinated oversight of daily workforce efforts.

For example, AgencyWeb® Administrator is being used by RCSO for real-time coordination of workforce schedules, employee activities and events. Time and attendance tools track planned schedules versus actual events, so that work time is accurately reported to payroll.   RCSO business rules are being applied to automate employee notifications about events that require actions, as well as tracking the "who, where and when" of these events.   And an automated interface between AgencyWeb's time and attendance tools submits employees' actual attendance information, including leave time, overtime, and shift differential calculations to the County's OASIS payroll system.  This eliminates the need for redundant entry of payroll attendance and overtime information.

With their new AgencyWeb® CourtNotify system, RCSO now issues Criminal Court subpoenas electronically.  Officers receive court notifications in real-time using their CourtNotify web account and agency email.  Integration with the Riverside County District Attorney's Office case management system will be coming online during the first quarter of 2012.
