Pine Bluff, Arkansas – Photos released Friday show the extent of damage still being repaired at Sissy’s Log Cabin in Pine Bluff after a high-speed crash that police say involved an off-duty Pine Bluff officer who has since been fired.
The crash happened in the early morning hours of November 20, 2025, when police say Officer Xavier Higgins drove a marked patrol unit through the front of the jewelry store after crossing Camden Road from Faucette Road. Investigators said Higgins was traveling at more than 100 miles per hour and later registered a .17 blood alcohol concentration on a breath test, more than twice Arkansas’ legal limit.
Police said Higgins was charged with DWI, careless and prohibited driving, and failure to obey a stop sign.
The department also confirmed he was terminated after the incident.
The newly released images, attributed to the Pine Bluff Police Department, show damage not only to the storefront but also to the surrounding street area, exterior structure, and merchandise inside the business.
Police estimated roughly $500,000 in damage to the store, and reported the patrol unit was totaled. Police also said they planned to keep officers at the building around the clock while repairs were underway.
