Leadership has been a hotbed topic the last few years, particularly since the lies of Ferguson have forced the discussion to rise by the cowardly acts of so many people in leadership positions. 

The removal of God from our society is exactly what causes all the problems they rail against but now complain about.  

This is where we find ourselves today.  You can’t hold to American values today without fear of the “political guillotine” from groups like “Black Lives Matter”, self-serving politicians, the Southern Poverty Law Center, ACLU and many others.

I have been nursing a sore back the last week, a recurring reward from an auto thief I received in 1986 as he rammed me and another officer, in our cruisers, in his unsuccessful attempt to escape.

It was about 20 years ago that I was involved in a use of force situation that cost me my job in law enforcement.  

I didn’t really think much about these police lip-sync challenges that have taken Facebook by storm.

We continually hear the call for an honest discussion about race but there is no way that some will let that happen. 

Politics has always been mean but with the divide between ideologies is at its greatest gulf ever, a politician will try to capitalize on any topic to get elected.  

I have worked for and with different characters in my career. I have also been a police officer since 1981 and seen the rise and fall of public sentiment.

I got a text while I was in a class on Saturday.  “Westerville Ohio one officer killed another in critical condition… Wanted to advise you…
