The man believed to be traveling with her may have also been found dead. Police confirmed a man was found dead near the abduction site near Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Here is what led up to this new development:
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department issued an Amber Alert Monday for 6-year-old Rene Pasztor and 7-year-old Liliana Hernandez.
At the time of the Amber Alert, police believed the kids were taken by their mother, Amber Pasztor, and investigators had reason to believe the children were in danger.
Monday evening, as an Elkhart police officer was leaving the police station, Pasztor approached him and reported there were two bodies in her car — a gold Mercury– the same car from the Amber Alert.
The two children’s bodies found in Pasztor’s car are believed to be Liliana and Rene, however, formal identification will come with the autopsies.
Pasztor has been arrested for two counts of murder and is being held at the Elkhart County Correctional Facility.
