Phoenix – We have previously pointed out the research behind the US DOJ Investigation into the Phoenix Police Department where all 36 incidents of their use of force examples were shown to be not factual.
When comparing the actual incidents that the US DOJ used to say that force was unconstitutional, Dr. Travis Yates called the mischaracterization of the cases “a bombshell.”
A recent use of force video calls into serious question of the US DOJ and the threats of federal oversight are placing officers at undue risk.
In the above video, A man was threatening customers with a knife. An officer arrived, and gave the man 25 commands to drop the knife while he came towards her. At one point, he began threatening others in the parking lot.
The video must be seen to be believed but it leaves us with grave concerns as to the impact the faulty DOJ investigation has had on the agency.
