An off-duty sheriff’s deputy was confronted by two masked gunmen who aimed at his face, before the deputy shot and killed one of the suspects according to a Los Angeles Times news report.
Officer Joseph Silva, a spokesman for the Stockton Police Department reported that two masked gunmen confronted an off-duty San Joaquin County sheriff’s deputy outside an apartment complex in Stockton on Tuesday, November 1 at about 10:40 p.m.

Silva said that the deputy, “did not know if he was being robbed, carjacked, or targeted because he was law enforcement.” The gunmen aimed at the deputy’s face prompting the deputy to fired his handgun, shooting one of the suspects, Keenan Bradley, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.
