KGW TV reports that a police officer was shot in Dallas, Oregon Friday evening.
The officer was shot in the leg and is expected to survive. The officer’s identity was not immediately released.

The incident began when three officers pulled over a man at around 5:45 p.m. on suspicion of DUI. The situation escalated while officers conducted the stop and one officer was shot in a Walmart parking lot.
The suspect was shot during the confrontation and pronounced dead the scene.
Oregon State Police is investigating.
