On February 9, 2025, Michael Dye died of heart failure. Mike was well known in the law enforcement community. He retired with 30 years of service in 2015 from the Volusia County (FL) Sheriff’s Office and later worked for the United States Marshals Service.
In the last decade, Mike was a criminal justice instructor at University High School in Orange City, Florida. Mike was a long time member of the Fellowship of Christian Police Officers (FCPO), serving on the National Board of Directors.
In 2020, Mike authored the Peacekeeper Bible Study that quickly garnered worldwide recognition.
Mike is survived by his wife, Jennifer, his daughter, Emily and his son, Davis.
Michael’s life was one of service, faith, and dedication to his family, community, and country. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of integrity, mentorship, and unwavering faith in God.
