DOUGLAS, Ariz. – Vice President Kamala Harris was ripped by the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) following her recent trip to the US-Mexico border. The organization accused the presidential candidate of using the trip as a political “photo op” rather than genuinely addressing the immigration crisis that has continued under her and President Joe Biden, the Post Millennial reported.
“Vice president Harris has ignored the border problem she created for over three years. She goes down there for 20 minutes for a photo op and decides to repeat some of the things the NPBC has said before. But again, where has she been the last 3 1/2 years?” the union queried.

Harris made the campaign stop in the border town of Douglas, Arizona. She was photographed walking along the border fence with Border Patrol agents along with receiving a briefing regarding the illegal activity that is ongoing at the southern border, the Associated Press reported.
After Harris made a speech, the Border Patrol Union was quick to slam her over the content of her talking points, by noting, “Fact check on Harris speech in Douglas, Arizona: Today, VP Harris claimed that she played a role in increasing Border Patrol Agent overtime pay. This couldn’t be further from the truth. As with all things border related she was no where to be found when we needed her.”

Art Del Cueto, vice president of the National Border Patrol Council, was among those who quickly dismissed the visit as artificial, calling it a “Hail Mary before the election.”

“Vice President Harris went down there and she spoke to two members of management — she didn’t speak to agents… and she was there for 20 minutes for a photo op. That’s all she did. President Trump actually cares and he’s actually gone down there and met with boots on the ground,” Del Cueto told Fox News.
The Biden administration’s border policies have created a crisis of epic proportions. As of July 21, there were more than 662,566 non-citizens with criminal histories on Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) national docket, according to a letter delivered to Republican Texas Rep. Tony Gonzales.
Alpha News reported the figure includes those who are currently detained by ICE and those who are on their non-detained docket, meaning they are freely roaming in the U.S.
“Among those on the docket are 435,719 who are convicted criminals and another 226,847 who have pending criminal charges, according to the letter. Only 14,994 of those on the national docket who had been convicted or had charges pending were actually detained,” the news outlet reported.
Furthermore, the criminal non-citizens not on ICE’s detained docket include an astonishing 13,099 convicted of homicide, 15,811 convicted of sexual assault, 14,301 convicted of burglary, and numerous other illegal immigrants convicted of other serious crimes.
