An Idaho State Police trooper has been injured in a crash while escorting the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree.
Trooper Brandalyn Crapo was leading the official escort motorcade of the National Christmas tree from McCall to Boise, when a 2001 Dodge truck crossed the centerline and collided with Trooper Crapo’s patrol car.

The 80-foot Englemann spruce was cut last week from the Payette National Forest near the town of McCall.
