A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy fatally shot a man accused of stabbing his wife outside the San Fernando Valley courthouse, according to a Los Angeles Times news report.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Vincent Plair said the incident was reported about 12:15 p.m on October 31, 2016.
An eye-witness to the incident, attorney Thomas Feher, told KTLA-TV that, “the woman was literally climbing out of the car and stumbling and running for her life toward the courthouse.”

Fehler told the KLTA-TV that the suspect chased the women with a “big knife” and then grabbed her with one hand while he clutched the knife. Fehler reported that deputies ordered the man to drop the knife; “He didn’t. That’s when they opened fire,” Fehler said.
