The driver took off when police approached his car; he crashed about a block away at the Mill Street intersection and started running away.

A suspect was captured after being shot and a gun was recovered. Additional suspects are outstanding.

The crash was the result of a high speed police pursuit out of Putnam County, New York when the car fled a traffic stop.
