Gardena, California – A woman suffered severe injuries to her face and head from a random attack as she was pumping gas at a convenient store on Sunday, May 30th. The attack happened in the 500 block of Rosecrans Avenue around 7 p.m. and the suspect is believed to be a regular customer at the store. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department released surveillance photos and video on Friday that showed the man calmly walk up to a woman and brutally punch her several times.
As she was on the ground, he continued to hit her along with grabbing her hair and slamming her head against the car.

My News LA reports that the woman did not know the man and he did not take any property from her.
The suspect, who has not yet been identified, was arrested this weekend and authorities say that he has a criminal history of violence and is on probation. He is also accused of attacking a woman in her car in Gardena last Saturday.
After the release of the video above, a second woman came forward to say she was also attacked by the suspect the same day. The 63-year-old woman told deputies she sustained minor injuries when she was attacked in Willowbrook, near the intersection of Rosecrans Avenue and Avalon Boulevard according to NBC 4.
