Perplexity is rolling out a new public safety offering for law enforcement agencies seeking AI support without the usual guesswork.
The company announced “Perplexity for Public Safety Organizations,” a program that gives qualifying law enforcement and public safety agencies free access to Perplexity Enterprise Pro for 12 months, for up to 200 seats.
Perplexity’s pitch to agencies is straightforward. When decisions can affect investigations, prosecutions, and community trust, officers need answers they can verify. The platform is designed to return responses with citations so users can review original sources before relying on the information in a report, briefing, or courtroom preparation.
The company says the public safety program builds on how officers and professional staff already use its tools, including researching case law, preparing for testimony, and connecting information across jurisdictions. The Enterprise Pro version adds administrative and security controls intended for broader organizational deployment, especially where sensitive work and internal policies are involved.
Mobility is also central to the offering. Perplexity says Enterprise Pro is designed for mobile devices, with features that support voice and image input. In practice, that means an officer or investigator can upload scene photos, review transcripts such as body camera or dash camera text, or ask a question by voice while working in the field, at a scene, or back at headquarters.
On privacy, the company emphasizes that Enterprise does not train on an agency’s data, and it includes controls to limit sharing across teams and departments, which it positions as a safeguard for investigations and operational information.
For agencies that need more than 200 seats, Perplexity says discounted plans are available for larger deployments.
