Every May during National Police Week thousands of law enforcement officers and family members gather in Washington, D.C., to pay their respects to fallen officers. This year's ceremonies included a candlelight vigil, a service at the Capitol with an address by President Bush and Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and a wreath-laying ceremony at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. The photos above and below express the emotions of the week's events.
