(Alpha News): A Bloomington, Minn., Marriott hotel fired an employee who exposed personal information about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents assigned to the area, federal officials and hotel management confirmed Thursday.

ICE publicly acknowledged the action on its social media channel, saying it is “glad” that the independently-owned Marriott took “immediate action” to fire the employee responsible for doxxing the ICE personnel.

“Doxing ICE officers and agents puts them and their families at enormous risk — especially now as they face a 1,300% increase in assaults, a 3,200% increase in car attacks and an 8,000% increase in death threats,” ICE said in a statement.

The hotel where the ICE agents were staying was the Residence Inn in Bloomington, Fox News’ Bill Melugin first reported. The incident stemmed from a post in a Reddit forum where the worker shared details about the ICE agents staying at the property, including their full names, emails, and photographs of them, Melugin reported. The images were shared to “ICE WATCH” threads on the website.

The captions for the images said, “ICE staying at Residence Inn in Bloomington by MOA” and “Three males & three females staying at this hotel. Company email and some of their names.” The images have since been deleted from Reddit.

CSM Lodging, the company who owns the hotel in question, told Fox News that guests’ privacy and safety is of the “utmost importance.”

“Upon learning of this situation last evening, we immediately investigated the matter and identified the person responsible for capturing the images in the post. This individual is no longer an employee of our organization,” CSM Lodging said.

A Hilton-branded hotel in Lakeville was removed from the national hotel system after refusing to accommodate Department of Homeland Security agents last week. These incidents come amid rising tensions between ICE and protesters as agents continue to conduct large-scale enforcement operations throughout the Twin Cities.

This also follows the shooting death of a woman who drove her car towards ICE officers in Minneapolis on Wednesday.
