10TV reports that an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper is recovering at a local hospital after an accidental shooting Wednesday night.
According to Highway Patrol, the trooper was at the Heath Police Department when the incident happened.

A spokesperson said the trooper was in the process of holstering the weapon when the gun fired striking the trooper in the leg.
The trooper’s condition was not life threatening.
