COLUMBUS, Ohio — A shooting in West Jefferson left four people dead on Monday. Three victims were discovered inside an apartment on Jackson Street, one was located outside, according to Police Chief Chris Floyd.
A passerby called 911 around 5:30 p.m. Police secured the crime scene and searched for suspect(s) without favorable results. They believe the deadly shooting occurred between 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Floyd said the crimes took place on a dead-end road, WSYX reported.
“We don’t know whether it’s a robbery, a target, we don’t know at this point,” he said. “Something brought somebody to a dead-end street.”
The Police Chief tells me this likely happened sometime between 1 & 5:30pm. A 911 call from a passerby came in around 5:30.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) has been asked to assist in solving the crime. Police are working to identify the victims.
Floyd said it’s been years since the last murder in West Jefferson.
