13 WMAZ reports that two Byron (GA) officers were shot Monday morning while serving a search warrant for drugs in Crawford County.
Officer James Wynn is not out of surgery and he is “looking good,” said Lt. Bryan Hunter. He’s expected to make a full recovery.

Officer William “Will” Patterson was treated and released from the hospital.
A multi-jurisdiction drug task force knocked on the door of a home on Highway 42 near Walton Road three times around 2:30 a.m.
When no one answered, they went inside. One person in the home started firing at the officers. The suspect was killed in the exchange of gunfire.
The name of the suspect killed has not yet been released.
