Editor's Note
by Captain Dale Stockton
Law Officer magazine will bring something to the law enforcement field that's been missing until now. While there are other public safety trade publications, none of them provide quality information to the most important and influential group - line level through middle management police personnel.

After thirty years in law enforcement, I can say with confidence that some of the most progressive ideas for programs and equipment come from these dedicated, hard working people. Few decisions regarding equipment acquisition originate at the top. In fact, most actual purchasing decisions take place well below the level of chief or sheriff.

As the editor of Law Officer, I recognize this dynamic and I'm committed to providing officers, supervisors and middle managers with the very best magazine so they can make informed decisions. We'll cover the tactics that are vital to officers, technology that will advance their capabilities, and training to give them the edge. Product spotlights will update them on the newest equipment, but we're not stopping there.

Law Officer magazine has partnered with PoliceOne.com, the leading web resource for law enforcement. The synergy created by combining the best hard copy content with the latest in Web info will be intense and I'm proud to be part of it.

There’s been a strong need for a magazine like this for a long time.”
