Jim Donahue

Jim Donahue is one of the nation's leading authorities on the subject of technology in the patrol car and the tactics which ensure that it improves officer safety. As an independent trainer devoted to patrol work, Donahue shows cops how to use technology on the street to improve their safety and improve their stats at the same time. Donahue is qualified to train a wide variety of mobile products from basic mobile clients through electronic ticketing and report writing. He has a very unique angle on avoiding risks that can a cost a cop his life when using these tools in public places. He was an elected official earlier in his career and has a solid grasp of municipal finance. He uses those skills today to help agencies obtain grants and find new sources for additional funds. Donahue got his formal education at Michigan State University and his street-level cop education on the streets of Metro Detroit, Michigan. He operates his own business, Sterling Solutions of America from his home in South Florida. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund has named Jim as an Ambassador, and in July 2008 he earned his certification as a law enforcement officer in Florida.
